Dramatic shades and bold furniture
This sophisticated take on 1970s retro style is characterised by deep, dramatic shades, rich natural materials and bold furniture pieces.
Striking combinations of olive green, burgundy, caramel and brown pair beautifully with dark walnut, statement marble, soft velvet and brushed brass.
Furniture is selected with care and has a sculptural quality, while lighting goes beyond its primary function to become a decorative statement in its own right.
Architect's tip
Painting the walls a new shade is a great way to refresh a room’s style with relatively little effort. Changing the wall colour is easier and more affordable than replacing furniture, making it the perfect opportunity to be a little more adventurous!
